A 15-year-old girl was seriously injured after a speeding motorcycle allegedly struck her while she was crossing the road near Mithibai College in Mumbai's Vile Parle (West) on morning of August 22. Police reportedly started an inquiry after the cyclist allegedly did not stop after the crash and left the area. The incident happened on N.S. Road No. 1, a popular section of Vile Parle that is well-known for its educational facilities and high traffic. On social media, a CCTV footage allegedly capturing the collision was circulated.

The girl was reportedly struck by the motorbike as it approached at a great pace while she was crossing N.S. Road No. 1. She was severely hurt when the collision's power flung her into the road.

People in the area went to the teen's aid and called the police. After arriving at the scene, police made arrangements for the injured girl to be transported to a hospital for medical attention.

After the collision, eyewitnesses allegedly tried to stop the motorbike, but the rider escaped before being caught.

The Juhu Police are attempting to identify the rider and the motorbike in question after filing a case against an unnamed individual. According to Juhu Police, “A 15-year-old girl was injured in a hit-and-run accident near Mithibai College in Vile Parle, Mumbai. She was hit by a speeding motorcycle, after which the bike rider fled from the spot. Police have registered a case against an unknown person. They are examining CCTV footage from the vicinity to identify the vehicle involved in the incident and trace the absconding accused.”

In an attempt to identify the motorbike and ascertain the rider's path following the collision, investigators are looking at CCTV cameras placed across the region. In order to track down the offender, footage from adjacent roadways and businesses may be crucial.
