Cadbury Dairy Milk India recently re-created one of its most famous ads, but with a unique twist. It elicited memories and responses from a wide range of people. While some felt it was admirable, others waxed poetic over an older advertisement from 1993. In the original commercial, a male cricketer struggles to concentrate on the pitch while his lady waits in the stands with a Cadbury in hand. She ends up doing a victory dance while eluding security to get onto the field. The narrative is the same, but the player and the beau's genders have been switched.

Oh wow!! Take a bow, Cadbury Dairy Milk and Ogilvy :) A simple, obvious twist that was long overdue, and staring right at all of us all this while! pic.twitter.com/Urq8NXtg7W

My only complaint is that current cinematography trends have robbed the vibrancy that the original had. That dress is iconic because it was bright and looked eye catching.

Remake of one of India's most loved ads.

With this role reversal ad we can see how much women have progressed in the Indian society whilst the emotions of success and victory still remain the same.https://t.co/BqZEjegpgA pic.twitter.com/jhJC08jusA
