E-commerce giant Amazon has raked up a massive controversy online after people took to Twitter against door mats with Hindu gods and goddesses being sold on its website.
Since Sunday, #BoycottAmazon has been trending on the social networking sites. According to reports, besides Hindu gods, users also found objectionable products with Quran verses and Jesus Christ images.
An Amazon spokesperson told a newspaper that “appropriate action" is being taken. Some of the products were taken down from Amazon's US site.
