An education minister who doesn't know the national anthem?
This shameful fact about Bihar's newly-appointed education minister Mewalal Choudhary came to light after the Opposition Rashtriya Janata Dal tweeted a video of him struggling to remember the national anthem in front of children.
In his election affidavit, Mewalal claims to have a Ph.D in Horticulture from the Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi.
Mewalal Choudhary has already become a major worry for Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Mewalal had been sacked from the JD-U three years ago for alleged involvement in a corruption case when he headed the Bihar Agriculture University.
Choudhary was accused of irregularities in the appointment of assistant professors and junior scientists at the Bihar Agriculture University (BAU) in Bhagalpur when he was its vice-chancellor.
