Believe it or not, 73rd Republic Day invitation card is also a seed for a plant

This year's Republic Day parade invitation had a special touch to it. Look closer at this card. Especially, note the bottom part of the card.

It says, 'Sow this card to plant an Amla plant' in English. It is incredible but true.

The invitation card for the 73rd Republic Day celebrations is made of seed paper, which contains the fertilizer mixed during the production process of that paper and can actually be planted in the land to grow an 'amla' plant. 

This paper, upon which the card is printed, is also called plantable paper. This type of paper is biodegradable.
