Bank in West Bengal sealed after employee tests positive for coronavirus

A woman employee of a bank in West Bengal's Mecheda tested positive for coronavirus. Shortly after, the bank was sealed    


A bank employee tested positive for coronavirus in West Bengal's Mecheda. Presently, the employee is undergoing treatment in AMRI hospital.

The bank where the employee worked is located in Mecheda, a town in Panskura of West Bengal. The bank where she worked and the nursing home she was admitted to before has been sealed after she tested positive for coronavirus.

Initially, she was admitted to a local nursing home in Mecheda following a bike accident. Later she was shifted to Tamluk District Hospital. For further treatment, she was moved to AMRI hospital where a swab test confirmed that she is infected with COVID-19.

The other employees of the bank were also asked to home quarantine. Authorities have conducted swab tests of the six family members of the bank employee and 12 colleagues.

 The people who helped her reach hospital after the accident took place are also going to be tested.

 The investigation team is trying to trace the people who have visited the bank in the last 14 days.
