Ambulance can't fly, driver tells Haryana judge

Synopsis

Special CBI judge Jagdeep Singh was on his way to Panchkula on Monday, when he witnessed a collision Shockingly, the judge received a sarcastic retort when he tried to hurry up the ambulance

A good samaritan, who saved the lives of two people in Haryana, was told off by the ambulance driver that emergency vehicles can't 'fly and come'.

According to a Hindustan Times report, a special CBI judge Jagdeep Singh, was on his way to Panchkula from his native village in Jind on Monday, when he witnessed a collision.  Four people were injured in the accident between a motorcycle and a car.

The Panchkula judge then tried calling the 102 ambulance service, however, several calls went unanswered.

The judge later was then able to get through to the driver, who seemed angry that he was receiving so many calls and replied: "Will the ambulance come flying?" reported HT.

The judge understanding that the ambulance won't be coming to the spot, arranged another vehicle to get the victims to hospital where one of them was declared brought dead, while the second one died of the injuries later.

An internal enquiry has been ordered against the ambulance operator.
