The Union Home Ministry has issued an order directing the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) to provide a bulletproof car along with Z category security to Kailash Vijayvargiya after the party’s national president JP Nadda’s convoy was attacked at Diamond Harbour in West Bengal.

The Union Home Ministry has issued an order directing the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) to provide a bulletproof car to Vijayvargiya and ensure that he only travels in that car.

Kailash Vijayvargiya was among those who suffered severe injuries in the Diamond Harbour attack. On the day of the attack, JP Nadda was travelling in a bullet-proof car provided by the state government whereas Vijayvargiya was travelling in a normal SUV provided by the party.
Vijayvargiya said, “The Union home ministry told me not to travel in normal vehicles. I have not seen the bullet-proof car yet.”
The CISF has been providing 'Z' category VIP security cover to Kailash Vijayvargiya since February last year. The security includes a team of about six-seven armed CISF commandos as well as a pilot and an escort vehicle.
