7-year-old rape victim, murdered by rapist’s father
Synopsis
A seven year old girl from Allahabad who was raped by her 15-year-old neighbour earlier this month, was stabbed to death by her rapist’s father on Tuesday.
According to NDTV, the girl was raped on 5th of this month. The police, who initially refused to register a case against the teen, arrested him on Sunday.Two days after the teen was arrested, the girl was dragged out of her house by five men including the father of the alleged rapist who then stabbed her to death.
The father of the rapist has been arrested. Police say he murdered the girl to prevent her from testifying against his son.
The family later told NDTV that the police were quite merciless to their plight and had even hit the victim’s father with lathis after he objected to the decision of the seven-year-old’s body being buried by the cops yesterday.
The police however claim that handing her body to the family would have triggered a potential law and order problem.
