In a gruesome incident in New Delhi, a driver raped a female puppy brutally and let it bleed to death. His audacity showed no limits as he boasted of the incident in front of an animal lover and also led him to the carcass. A post-mortem report confirmed rape and death due to excessive bleeding.
The incident is said to have taken place on August 25 when the accused Naresh, who is a driver with a private cab agency, grabbed the puppy named Jenney in a drunk state. He reportedly raped the dog and left it to bleed to death. He, later arranged for a jute bag and stuffed the puppy inside and dumped it in an isolated spot in the Naraina industrial area. His elder brother Suresh was his partner in crime. While they looked for an appropriate place to dump the bag, they found a dry drain next to the garbage dumping site where they dropped the bag.
The puppy was quite popular among the residents in the area and when they did not find her the next day, a search operation was launched. This is when they came across an inebriated Naresh who spilled the beans. He told them that he had dumped the puppy in the Naraina Industrial area after having sex with it. He also showed them the location and fled. As the puppy was rushed to the Sanjay Gandhi Animal Care Centre, it was declared brought dead.
One of the residents and an animal lover, Abhishek, speaking to the media said, "I told the police about the confessions made by Naresh and I have filed a complaint at Naraina police station. Based on the complaint, the post-mortem was conducted at Sanjay Gandhi hospital." Although the doctors had submitted the autopsy report to the cops the very next day, police officials delayed in converting the complaint into an FIR. However, cops are of a different opinion. They said that they cannot do so unless the complainant met the senior officials.
However, the pleas of the residents were heard soon. Abhishek said, "A few hours after approaching the seniors, the FIR was registered on Tuesday night under Section 429 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 11 of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act." He, however said that despite confirmation of rape in the autopsy report, Section 377 (Unnatural sex) of the IPC has not been added in the FIR.
Meanwhile, speaking to the accused's wife, it was revealed that Naresh, who was also a father of two daughters, was a pervert and had broken her hands on Wednesday.
