Thiruvananthapuram: Three families living in Anayara of the capital city, are in a hapless situation due to the dumping of garbage and domestic waste from nearby shops and buildings near the Kazhakkoottam bypass line.

For the past month, three families residing in Kudumbi Line in Thiruvananthapuram districts have been living in a distressing situation. There is no way to flush out the waste from their surroundings, as buildings and flats are built around them.

The families find themselves unable to access basic sanitation facilities like toilets and showers. To meet their essential needs, they are compelled to seek assistance from neighboring households. These families are forced to wade through contaminated water filled with sewage and debris. The situation has also led to a significant increase in snake-related problems.

Despite the mounting issues, the families also claimed that they had not received any assistance from the local corporation. Even the mosquito population continues to grow.

The corporation councillor of the area, DG Kumaran, says that nothing can be done with the current funds, and he is helpless. Mosquitoes and cockroaches are flying around the house. Three families are suffering due to the neglect of responsible government officials.
