More than 24 people were hospitalised on Friday, August 18, after chlorine gas leaked at 'Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan' in Dehradun.
Four rescue workers, a fireman and his son, as well as four civilians, including three children, fell unconscious after a gas cylinder burst, Jagran reported.
The victims were taken to Doon Hospital in Dehradun, but had to be shifted to other hospitals in the region because of a lack of oxygen supply at the institute.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh took to Twitter and said the injured people have been admitted to the hospital. He said that he was keeping an eye on the developments and a team of doctors led by the Health Advisor has also been deployed at the site.
