UPSC releases notification for NDA, Naval Academy 2021 application

Synopsis

Union Public Service Commission has released the official notification for the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I) 2021 on its official website.

Union Public Service Commission has released the official notification for the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I) 2021 on its official website.

However, doors of the prestigious defence institutions continue to remain closed for women. The notification issued by the UPSC clearly notes that only "unmarried male candidates born not earlier than July 2, 2002, and not later than July 1, 2005, are eligible".

Education eligibility for the examination

For Army Wing of National Defence Academy: Class 12 pass in the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a
University. 

For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: Class 12 pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination. 

Physical standards for eligibility

Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I), 2021 as per guidelines

Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on the inner face of forearm i.e. from inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side of palm/back (dorsal) side of hand/Permanent body tattoos on any other part of the body are not acceptable and candidates will be barred from further selection. 

Centres of Examination

The Examination will be held at the following Centres: Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Prayagraj (Allahabad), Bengaluru, Bareilly, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cuttack, Dehradun, Delhi, Dharwad, Dispur, Gangtok, Hyderabad, Imphal, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Jorhat, Kochi, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Madurai, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji (Goa), Patna, Port Blair, Raipur, Ranchi, Sambalpur, Shillong, Shimla, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Tirupati, Udaipur and Vishakhapatnam.
