US President Donald Trump has reportedly discussed with his advisers whether he can grant pre-emptive pardons to his three oldest children and Ivanka Trump's husband Jared Kushner.

A White House senior advisor was quoted by the New York Times as saying that Trump is concerned that Joe Biden's Justice Department might seek retribution against him by targeting the oldest three of his five children -- Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump and Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner.

Donald Trump Jr was investigated during former special counsel Robert Mueller's probe into the campaign's contacts with Russia to get information on Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton ahead of the 2016 election. But Donald Trump Jr was not interviewed by Mueller’s office or charged.
