Mamata Banerjee accuses BJP of making false promises to people of Bengal ahead of polls

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has accused the BJP of making false promises to win the votes of people in the assembly polls.
 

While addressing a meeting in Bankura, Mamata Banerjee said, “At the time of the election, the BJP leaders come and take away your vote by making false promises that they will give you rice and dal.”

Referring to the BJP promise of reservation for women in government jobs, the CM said that her government has already taken many steps for women empowerment.
