West Bengal BJP chief Dilip Ghosh slammed Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and said that the "wheelchair" government in the state would not work.

While addressing a rally in Purulia, Ghosh said, “She (Mamata) says Didi ke bolo (tell Didi), now she says Didi ke thelo (push Didi). Having said that for so long, now we have to push. Now we see a wheelchair government. This wheelchair government will not work. We want a change.”

Dilip Ghosh made this remark after Mamata Banerjee was seen attending rallies sitting on a wheelchair due to an injury she claimed was caused by an attack by goons of the opposition in Nandigram.

Earlier, Dilip Ghosh also mocked Mamata Banerjee for highlighting her leg injury and said that she should wear bermudas if she wanted to display her legs.

Dilip Ghosh said, “She is wearing saree with one leg covered but kept another kept open for viewing. Haven’t seen anyone draping a saree in such a way. If she has to display her leg for viewing, she can very well wear bermuda shorts. That will help to have a better view.”

The TMC vehemently slammed Dilip Ghosh comments with one of its leaders calling him a "pervert".
