India has reported 38,628 new Covid-19 cases, 40,017 recoveries and 617 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per health ministry bulletin.
Following a slight dip in daily infections, India reported 38,628 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, taking the total tally of Covid-19 cases to 3,18,56,757.
According to the data shared by the Union Health Ministry on Saturday, the death count increased to 4,23,217 with 555 new fatalities.
A total of 40,017 discharges were recorded in the country in the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 3,10,55,861.
While the active cases registered an increase for the third consecutive day, the active caseload in India is now at 4,12,153, the data showed.
According to 8 am data, active cases constitute 1.29% of total cases, while weekly positivity rate remains below 5%, currently at 2.39%.
As many as 49,55,138 people were vaccinated in the last 24 hours, the government has said. A total of 50,10,09,609 people have been vaccinated so far in the country.
