Coronavirus: India sees slight dip in daily infections; recovery rate improved to 97.40%

India has reported 35,499 new cases and 447 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per a government health bulletin.

India on Monday reported 35,499 new cases and 447 deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours, according to the Union Health Ministry. This has taken the cumulative caseload to 3,19,69,954, while the toll rose to 4,28,309.

The active Covid-19 cases dropped by 4,634 in 24 hours to reach 402,188 in total, according to the Health Ministry data at 8 am.

The number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 31,139,457 and the national Covid-19 recovery rate has improved to 97.40%.

As many as 1,371,871 tests were conducted on Saturday taking the total cumulative tests conducted so far for detection of Covid-19 in the country to 481,767,232, according to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) data.

As many as 568 million Covid-19 vaccine doses have been administered under the nationwide vaccination drive till Sunday morning.
