What is more concerning is that India’s ‘R’ count (reproduction number), a key indicator of how fast the Covid-19 virus is infecting people, has again gone over 1 for the first time since the decline of the second wave in the country. According to data from Michigan University’s Covid study group, India’s ‘R’ value has hit 1.01 as of July 30. According to experts, the ‘R’ value must stay below 1 for active cases to come down.

A total of 46,96,45,494 samples have been tested so far, of these, 14,28,984 samples were tested yesterday.

In the last 24 hours, 17,06,598 doses of Covid-19 vaccine were administered. So far, 47,22,23,639 doses of vaccine have been administered.
