Coronavirus: India reports 45,352 new COVID-19 cases; active cases nearly 4 lakh

India reported 45,352 new Covid-19 cases and 366 deaths in the past 24 hours, the Health Ministry said on Friday.

India's total tally of cases rose to 3,29,03,289, with 45,352 people testing positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, according to Union health ministry data updated on Friday. While 366 deaths in the last 24 hours, increased the death toll to 4,39,895.
 

Meanwhile, active cases account for 1.22% of total cases as the active caseload stands at 3,99,778, the ministry stated.

A total of 34,791 discharges in the last 24 hours, took the total recoveries to 3,20,63,616. While the national Covid-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 97.45%, the ministry said.

According to Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) data, so far 52.65 crore samples have been tested to detect Covid-19 in the country.

A total of 67.09 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
