India reported 47,092 new Covid cases and 509 deaths on Thursday, making it the highest daily cases reported in over two months.
India on Thursday logged 47,092 new Covid-19 cases, the biggest single-day rise in two months, pushing the total tally to 32,857,937. While 509 fatalities took the death toll in the country to 4,39,529, according to the data shared by the Union Health Ministry.
The ministry data showed the total active cases of Covid-19 in India rose to 3,89,583. Kerala continued to report the highest daily cases as it accounted for 32,803 fresh infections and 173 deaths.
India registered 35,181 discharges in one day, taking the overall recoveries count to 3,20,28,825. The total recovery rate is at around 97.51%.
So far, 66,30,37,334 vaccine doses have been administered including 81,09,244 in the last 24 hours, under the nationwide vaccination drive.
