Coronavirus: India clocks 25,404 fresh COVID-19 cases, 6.78% lower than yesterday

Kerala leads the states with the most number of daily cases with 15,058 cases, followed by Maharashtra with 2,740 cases, Tamil Nadu with 1,580 cases, Mizoram with 1,502 cases and Andhra Pradesh with 864 cases.

India logged 25,404 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the total case tally to 3,32,89,579, according to Union Health Ministry data on Tuesday. While 339 fatalities in the last 24 hours, increased the total reported death count to 4,43,213.

Kerala leads the states with the most number of daily cases with 15,058 cases, followed by Maharashtra with 2,740 cases, Tamil Nadu with 1,580 cases, Mizoram with 1,502 cases and Andhra Pradesh with 864 cases.

Currently, the active case tally stands at 3,62,207 as the number of active cases in the country declined by 12,062 in the last 24 hours.

A total of 37,127 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours, pushing the total recoveries to 3,24,84,159 across the country. While the national Covid-19 recovery rate was recorded at 97.58%, the ministry said.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) data, a total of 14,30,891 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.

India administered a total of 78,66,950 doses in the last 24 hours. A total of 75,22,38,324 doses have been administered so far, under the nationwide vaccination program.
