The survey, which took the opinion of 10,396 respondents in 272 urban centres and 811 rural centres using a systematic sampling methodology, saw the Left Democratic Front gaining support from the powerful Ezhava Community besides Muslims, Dalits and Other Backward Classes.
The survey shows that 41 per cent of the Dalit respondents, 47 per cent of Muslims, 45 per cent of Ezhavas and 43 per cent of Other Backward Classes endorsed the Left Democratic Front.
As for the Congress-led United Democratic Front, the alliance seems to have a foothold over the Christian community vote share and the Nair community.
