An overwhelming 41 per cent of the respondents believed that the Muslim League is dominating the UDF, and could seek more authority from the alliance if it comes to power in the state.Another 40 per cent of those surveyed said that the Muslim League should be given the chief ministership if the UDF were to snatch power from the Left-backed alliance.

However, the Congress party's attempts to woo the minority community seem to be showing no impact with 30 per cent of the respondents believing that Muslims will not strongly back the Congress the way they did during the Lok Sabha elections.In fact, the UDF's loss is LDF's gain with over 51 per cent of those surveyed stating that the latter was now closer to the minority community than before.

While 31 per cent respondents felt that Welfare Party's alliance with the UDF could improve its acceptance among Muslims, but a whopping 44 per cent felt that LDF was more capable and reliable than UDF in standing up to the central government.
