While most of us remember to care of our faces and necks as far as tanning from the sun is concerned, hands are often ignored.
If you mostly spend your time outside, then these tan removal home remedies for hands and arms are going to be useful for you. You can also use them to get rid of tan from your feet and legs.
Curd, lemon juice and gram flour mask: Curd acts as a moisturiser, while lemon juice along with gram flour works on skin brightening. Make a paste of these three ingredients and apply it gently to your legs, feet, and hands. Leave it for 30-35 minutes then wash it off with lukewarm water. Repeat the process twice a week.
Apply lemon: Lemon juice acts as an antibacterial and antioxidant, which means it protects the skin from free radical damage, repairs cells, and speeds up new skin generation. It brightens tanned and dull skin, reducing the visibility of dark spots, blemishes, freckles and other sun-related damage. Squeezing some fresh lemon juice onto the palm of the hand at bedtime, much like you would use a serum or moisturiser, and rubbing well all over the hands and wrists can do the magic.
Cucumber: Cucumber is very beneficial for tanned and sunburnt skin. It gives a cooling effect and helps remove tan. Shred a cucumber and squeeze to urge the juice out. Apply the juice everywhere on your skin using a cotton dab. Let it dry and wash.
Aloe Vera: Aloe Vera leaf juice heals and smoothens skin. It also has a soothing effect and provides relief from sun tan and sunburns. Slit the leaf and scoop out the gel with a spoon or a knife. Apply the burn plant gel generously on areas suffering from tan. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes before washing off.
