Having pets is a huge responsibility, but the perks are undeniable. However, sometimes, your house may start emanating pet odours.

Baking soda:This is your best tool to have around the house. Sprinkle some baking soda around the house, especially where there are rugs and carpets involved, and let it rest for some time. Later, sweep or vacuum the house clean, the odour will no longer be there.

Fur problems: Some dogs shed more than other dogs, so it’s pretty normal to see loose fur on the ground even after you’ve cleaned your home. To avoid this from happening, ensure that your dog is groomed on a daily basis. Added bonus: Your dog be cleaner and healthier, too.

Get some air:Air out your house by opening all the windows and doors (but don’t accidentally let the dog out!)

Vinegar: Use some vinegar, white vinegar to be precise, and let it simmer for a bit. Then switch off the heat and let it rest. The whole house will be odour free.

Citrus and hydrogen peroxide:Citrus and hydrogen peroxide are two other great bases for pet cleaners. The citrus works as a natural enzymatic cleaner, and the hydrogen peroxide is another great neutralizer.

Fill your house with fresh-smelling things:If all else fails, which it shouldn’t, then purchase an essential oil diffuser, scented candles or fresh flowers to combat the dog smell, or at least offset it with a more pleasant flavour.
