The Global Employability Ranking and Survey 2020 recently released a comprehensive report that placed India in the 15th spot globally, 8 spots higher from the 23rd position the country occupied in 2018.

According to the studypublished by French HR Consultancy group Emerging and Times Higher Education, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-Delhi) is the most employable institute in India. IIT-Delhiclimbed 27 ranks from 54th in 2019 to 27th in 2020.

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc-Bangalore) secured the 71st rank worldwide. However, this famous Bangalore institute slipped from Rank 43 that it had securedin the 2019 employability survey.

IIT Bombay was ranked 128th in the list, making its entry in the top 150 employable universities of the world.In 2019, the premier technology institute was ranked 153.

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM-Ahmedabad) secured 184th rank in the employability ranking 2020. As per the NIRF ranking, the B-school is the top management institute in the country.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-Kharagpur) made a fresh entryinto Top 250 Global EmploymentRankings this year by securing the 195th rank.

Amity University secured rank 1 among the private universities in India in terms of employability ranking. The institute secured 236th spot in the world.

The survey, conducted by Times Higher Education and Emerging, also revealed that United States retained its top spot in employability rankings. California Institute of Technology secured the 1st rank followed by Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2nd & Havard University in the 3rd spot.

While the Gobal Employabilityrankings continue to show a steady number of US Universities, overall the universities in both US and UK have shown a decline in the last 10 years.United States' country score has fallen by 51 per cent in the last 10 years.

As far as UK is concerned, the countryslipped from 2nd rank to 4th position in terms ofemployability with a 46 per cent drop in its score.University of Cambridge is the only UK-based institute that features in the Top 15 list.
