However, amid this excitement, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has issued an important clarification regarding rumours of ‘free metro travel for RCB fans’ circulating on social media.

In an official statement, BMRCL said that the information claiming metro travel is free is completely false and misleading.

Some private individuals and organisations had circulated posts and advertisements on social media falsely claiming that RCB fans in Bengaluru would be allowed free travel on Namma Metro on the occasion of the IPL final scheduled for May 31. Terms And Conditions Applicable: Metro travel on May 31 will be subject to BMRCL’s prevailing fare terms and conditions, the corporation has reiterated.
