On Sunday, SC East Bengal pulled off a surprise 2-1 win against Jamshedpur FC in the 2020-21 Indian Super League, at the Fatorda Stadium in Bengaluru. With this win, SCEB has risen to the ninth spot, while Jamshedpur stays on seventh.

Nonetheless, three minutes later, Matti Steinmann handed SCEB the lead with his header to the top-right, from the centre, following a corner assist from Narayan Das.
