ISL 2020-21: SC East Bengal holds Hyderabad FC as race for top-4 intensifies

This was SC East Bengal's eighth draw of the Indian Super League 2020-21, as with three wins and six losses, it has risen to the ninth spot. Meanwhile, Hyderabad FC registered its ninth draw of the season, while with five wins and three losses, it has risen to the third place.

The race for the top-four continued to intensify, as SC East Bengal managed to hold Hyderabad FC in the 2020-21 Indian Super League, at the Tilak Maidan in Goa, on Friday. While SCEB has risen to the ninth place, Hyderabad is into the top-three and is placed third.

The opening half saw nine attacks from both sides, including four saves, while three of them came from Hyderabad goalkeeper, Laxmikant Kattimani. Nonetheless, both the sides failed to break the deadlock at half-time.

The second half saw three attacks until the 58th minute, as the same minute saw Bright Enobakhare handing SCEB the lead, with his right foot to the bottom-right from the left, following an assist from Anthony Pilkington.

It was followed by six more attacks until the 87th minute, including a save each. Meanwhile, Aridane levelled it in the 91st minute, with his left-foot to the centre in a close-range attempt, thanks to Sandaza's assist.

In the meantime, Hyderabad's Mohammad Yasir was sent off in the 96th minute following a brutal challenge on Wahengbam Angousana. Although an attack more followed from SCEB a couple of minutes later, it was no avail, as both shared the honours at the full-time whistle.
