There was no respite for Odisha FC or Kerala Blasters FC, as both settled for a 2-2 draw in the 2020-21 Indian Super League, at the Fatorda Stadium in Bengaluru, on Thursday. With this draw, while Odisha stays at the bottom of the table, with no chance of making it to the playoffs, while Blasters rises a spot to ninth.
The opening half saw 11 attacks until the 43rd minute, including a save from Blasters goalkeeper, Albino Gomes. Meanwhile, the next minute saw Diego Maurício score the opener for Odisha, with his right foot to the bottom-right from the centre, thanks to Jerry Mawihmingthanga's assist.
The Blasters looked to make a comeback and came up with a couple of attempts. But, Odisha managed to hold on to the lead at the half-time break.
The second half saw three attacks until the 50th minute, including a save from Odisha goalkeeper, Arshdeep Singh. Nonetheless, the next minute witnessed Jordan Murray level it through his right foot to the top-right from the centre, following a cross assist from Gary Hooper.
Four more attacks ensued from Blasters until the 67th minute, including another save from Arshdeep. Nevertheless, it was Hooper at the same time, who put the Blasters ahead with his right foot to the bottom-right from the centre, thanks to Sahal Abdul Samad's assist.
While four more attempts were made until the 73rd minute, including a couple of saves from Arshdeep again, Maurício levelled it in the same minute, in a similar manner like his opening goal, following an assist from Bradden Inman.
Eight more attacks ensued, including three saves, while a couple of them came from Arshdeep. However, both the sides could not find the back of the net any further, as the honours were shared at the referee's full-time whistle.
