Notably, ATKMB has failed to beat City on both occasions, during the league stage, this season. Meanwhile, club striker David Williams, who was one of the goal-scorers during his side’s win over NEU, has pondered that his side has never lost when he has scored, besides also mentioning that it would look for payback against City for the double loss.

“When I score, the team does not lose the game. This statistic is very good. That’s why I want to score more goals for the team.Maybe, we could have won on Tuesday with more goals, but that is now past. Now, we are only thinking about the final match,” he told ATKMB on Wednesday.“The best two teams of the league are playing in the final. In both the matches of the league, we could not win against Mumbai.Maybe, that is why some are thinking of revenge and some thinking of the trophy.I also want to win the trophy and I am taking the best preparation. We have to keep the focus right.Only then we can become the champion,” he added.

Meanwhile, fellow club striker Manvir Singh, who was also one of the goal-scorers against NEU, has warned that City would be ahead in confidence following the double over ATKMB during the league stage. “Mumbai will be in front of us in the final. We have never defeated the team in the group league. We will correct the mistakes made in those matches and go to the final. I am optimistic about the success of our team,” he asserted.

“Tuesday’s goal is the best of the six goals I have scored so far. Not because of dribbling against two defenders of the opponent, but because the goal was scored in the semi-final. This is a great achievement for me. I have also received numerous messages from members and supporters in the last two days and the only request was to score and reach to the final. I am dedicating the Man of the Match award to the Green Maroon supporters,” he concluded.
