Indian Railways took a new initiative in Bengal before the assembly polls. Special measures have been taken to reduce the monotony of local train passengers. From now on, Rabindra Sangeet and instrumental music will be played in all the compartments of the local train.

However, the Trinamool Congress is getting the essence of politics in this decision of the Railways before the Assembly elections.

Meanwhile, regular passengers of the train said that such efforts of the railways amid the COVID-19 pandemic are really appreciable. It will help cut down on fatigue. Passengers welcomed this effort to highlight the Bengali culture.

However, the Trinamool has questioned why the railways took this initiative before the assembly elections. In 2011, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee came to power in West Bengal. From then, the traffic police started playing Rabindra Sangeet at the roads.

State Cooperatives Minister Arup Roy alleged that the BJP government was copying the works of Mamata Banerjee. He said that the people of Bengal will understand all the games of the BJP.
