A PIL was filed before the Calcutta High Court on Wednesday (February 3) against the Bharatiya Janata Party’s proposed 'Rath Yatra' in West Bengal.

Petitioner Rama Prasad Sarkar claimed that if the BJP conducts such rallies across the state then it would affect the law and order situation. He also said that it would also pose great risks in terms of spreading COVID-19 infection.
