A major controversy has come to light in Hubballi. A gym trainer named Sameer has been accused of trapping young women through friendship and later assaulting and blackmailing them.

The allegations have created tension in the city and drawn public attention. The victim has now released a video statement exposing Sameer's actions.

Victim's video statement: Reveals details of the rape

The case came into focus after the victim released a video from an undisclosed location. In her statement, she explained how she came to know the accused.

She said her friend was Sameer’s sister, Taiseem Mulla, and through her, she met Sameer. They used to meet during social gatherings like birthdays and weekend parties.

Alleged assault and blackmail

The woman said that one day Sameer called her to his house. She alleged that he gave her a drink, after which she lost consciousness.

She claimed that during this time, he assaulted her and recorded the act. Later, he allegedly used the video to threaten and blackmail her.

Activists hand over accused to police

After learning about the incident, members of a local group, Sri Ram Sene, reportedly caught Sameer and handed him over to the police.

The accused is now in custody at the Old Hubballi police station.

Hindu organisations have expressed anger, claiming that gyms are turning into hubs for 'Love Jihad'.

Tension rises after family clash

The situation became tense when the accused’s family and supporters allegedly reached the victim’s house in Vikas Nagar.

Reports say Sameer's family and supporters were furious that he was taken to the police. They allegedly barged into the woman's house in Vikas Nagar and created a ruckus. 

They are accused of creating a disturbance, assaulting family members, and making threats. This led to further anger among local residents.

Police find material on accused’s phone

Sameer is now in police custody. The woman's family has filed a complaint against the assault and injustice they faced.

During investigation, police reportedly checked Sameer’s phone and found several pregnancy-related reports.

Officials are examining these findings as part of the case. Some items like contraceptive pills were also recovered from him.

Family denies allegations

Police also found contraceptive pills on the gym trainer, Sameer Mulla.

Sameer’s sister, Taiseem Mulla, has denied the allegations. She said her brother is young and questioned why he would carry such items. 

His sister defended him, saying, 'My brother is just 24, these are serious allegations. He has no reason to carry these pills.' But with the victim's own video statement out, the case has taken a sharp turn.

Despite the denial, the case has gained serious attention after the victim’s video statement.

Heavy police presence in sensitive areas

Police have increased security in areas like Vijaynagar and Vikas Nagar to maintain peace.

Officials said the investigation is ongoing, and strict action will be taken based on evidence. People in the area are demanding justice and clarity in the case.
