Tourist destinations located in the higher altitudes, including Gulmarg and Sonmarg, may witness fresh spells of snowfall along with chilly weather conditions. Temperatures across Jammu and Kashmir are expected to remain between 11 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius. The changing weather pattern could affect travel in hilly regions, especially during periods of reduced visibility and strong winds.

IMD Issues Advisory Over Strong Winds And Lightning
The India Meteorological Department has warned of thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds reaching speeds of 40 to 50 kmph, with isolated gusts crossing 60 kmph in both Jammu and Kashmir divisions till May 21. Residents and tourists have been advised to remain cautious during outdoor activities. The weather department added that mainly dry conditions are expected from May 22 to 25, although isolated afternoon showers may continue in some areas. Hot and dry weather is likely between May 26 and 28 before another spell of light rain returns towards the end of the month.
