Clear Skies Now, But Heat is Building Up

April has begun on a relatively calm note for Delhi-NCR, with bright sunshine dominating the skies. While occasional clouds may pass through, there is no immediate threat of rain or storms today. However, this clear weather comes with a catch — temperatures are climbing quickly.

The maximum temperature is likely to touch around 37°C on April 1 and 2, while minimum temperatures may stay between 20°C and 21°C. This marks the early arrival of summer-like conditions across the region.

Sudden Weather Shift Expected from April 3

The brief spell of stable weather won’t last long. From April 3 onwards, a fresh change is expected as rain, gusty winds, and thunderstorms are likely to impact the entire Delhi-NCR region, including Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad.

This shift is being driven by an active Western Disturbance, which is causing fluctuations between sunshine, cloud cover, and rainfall — making the weather highly unpredictable.

Temperature Drop Likely After Rainfall Activity

The incoming rain spell is expected to bring noticeable relief from the rising heat. Day temperatures may drop to around 30°C, while nights could become slightly cooler at about 19°C.

Meteorologists suggest that the Western Disturbance will remain active, particularly over northern hilly regions, which could lead to intermittent rainfall across parts of northwest India until around April 10.
