Coronavirus: India records highest single-day spike with 97,570 cases, pushes COVID-19 tally to 46 lakhs

With the highest single-day spike of 97,570 new cases and 1,201 deaths reported in the last 24 hours India's Covid-19 count crossed the 46-lakh mark today. According to the health ministry, the Covid-19 case tally stands at 46,59,984 in the country.

India's COVID-19 caseload raced past 46 lakhs with a record 97,570 infections being reported in a day, while 36,24,196 people have recuperated so far taking the national recovery rate to 77.77% on Saturday, according to Union health ministry data.
