PM Modi reaches Kolkata; to inaugurate Kolkata Metro extension to Dakshineswar

PM Modi arrived in Kolkata on Monday (February 22) afternoon. The top leadership of the state BJP welcomed him. Modi will inaugurate the extension of Kolkata Metro's North-South Line from Noapara to Dakshineswar.
 

PM Modi will hold a public meeting at Dunlop Maidan in Hooghly. He will then inaugurate the Dakshineswar metro line remotely from the official ceremony.

However, the Dakshineswar Metro service will start on Tuesday (February 23). The inauguration, scheduled on Monday afternoon, will help connect thousands of people in the 4.1 km stretch between Noapara and Dakshineswar,

A metro official said, “Passengers from Kavi Subhash station in the southern end will be able to travel to Dakshineswar in just over an hour.”

Preparations are under way in Chuchura Dunlop grounds for the public meeting that will be attended by state BJP leaders and workers from Hooghly district.
