Long, long ago, before Koffee with Karan or BFF with Neha Dhupia, there was a celebrity chat show called Rendezvous with Simi Garewal. In which actress Simi Garewal used to invite India's popular personalities and chat with them candidly.

Young Kareena Kapoor was also called in the show and was asked which celebrity would she like to date, and this is what she said this. The actress once said she wants to date Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

In 2002, Kareena said with a smile, ''Shall I say this, I don't know if I should because I don't mind getting to know him, it's controversial... Rahul Gandhi."

Bebo also added, ‘'I'd like to know him, I've been seeing his pictures in the India Today and as I was just flipping through, I was thinking what would it be like to have a conversation with him." 

She did stop, and Bebo added, "And I come from a family with the film lineage, and he comes from a family of politicians. So, maybe it'd make an interesting conversation." 

A few years later, in 2009, during an interview with CatchNews, Kareena rubbished her statement of dating Rahul Gandhi and said, "It is too old, and I said it because our surnames are popular. But one day, I would love to host him and also want to see him as a PM, but definitely, I don't want to date him."
