Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty's husband Raj Kundra has been in the news for the past couple of days. The businessman has been accused of producing and distributing adult content through apps.
He had been sent into judicial custody until July 23 by the Mumbai court, but his custody was extended until July 27.
The crime branch team raided Shilpa and Raj's bungalow at Juhu, Mumbai, for further investigation. During that time, the police took Raj Kundra to his residence when the raid took place, while his wife Shilpa's statements were being recorded.
According to reports, Shilpa and Raj had a nasty argument, and the star broke down in front of the Mumbai police. A report was published in Free Press Journal; Shilpa was shaken and upset when Raj Kundra was brought to his house by the police.
Shilpa's statement was recorded for more than two hours and she even denied her involvement in the company. Shilpa even stated that erotica is different from porn.
Meantime, a source close to Shilpa Shetty issued a statement from the actress on the whole controversy. The statement reads, "There have been a lot of rumours, murmurs and accusations. A lot has been said in the media as well. However, Shilpa Shetty Kundra would like to refrain from commenting about the ongoing investigation. Would like to request everyone to refrain from commenting on half baked information without verifying the integrity of the same."
According to a report published in HT, the director of Viaan industries may also be called in for interrogation. It is also mentioned that Shilpa may also be issued a summons as the actress was one of the director's of Viaan Industries till 2020.
