The Story of Sahaa
Sanjeev Kumar (Siva Kumar Kasaram) has a crush on Sahasra (Swetha Lakshman) since they were kids. In high school, he wins a toss to propose first and straight-up kisses her. She eventually falls for him by the time they reach Intermediate. Sanju even sacrifices his EAMCET exam for her. When she gets into B.Tech, he fakes an ID card to visit her in college daily. Their love story gets exposed, and fearing their families, they get married. Later, Sahasra gets pregnant and her father spots her at a hospital and forgives them. But suddenly, Sanju loses his job and his life turns upside down. He faces humiliation at his in-laws' house. Sahaa Movie Analysis
It's a love and emotional drama with a sad ending. The story is quite common: teenage love, marrying against parents' wishes, and then facing the harsh realities of life. Right from the start, you can guess the climax. The hero talking on the phone gives major `7/G Brindavan Colony` vibes. The film moves at a snail's pace because the director tried to be too poetic, which just feels boring. The interval twist is also predictable. The second half drags as the hero's struggles are shown in too much detail. The scenes with another girl named Saha at the Sub-Registrar's office offer some relief. Producer Teja Velpucherla didn't compromise on production values. However, director Nishanth Doti chose a routine story and his poetic approach backfired, giving the film a TV serial-like feel. The predictable plot is its biggest flaw.
