Mamitha Baiju, the angel from God's Own Country
For ages, actresses from Kerala have ruled Tamil cinema. They bring both beauty and talent, so our directors never miss a chance to cast them. The biggest example is Nayanthara, who came from Kerala and is now the Lady Superstar of not just Tamil but all of South Indian cinema. Following in her footsteps, Mamitha Baiju is now South cinema's new lucky charm. Why? Because her recent films are smashing box office records, raking in over Rs 100 crore each. This makes her the go-to actress for guaranteed blockbusters.

Two Onam releases, both became mega hits

Mamitha is currently juggling films in multiple languages and has become one of India's highest-paid actresses. Her two big films released during this Onam festival are getting a massive response at the box office. Her Tamil film 'Viswanath and Sons' with Suriya and the Malayalam film 'Bethlehem Family Unit' with Nivin Pauly both received a fantastic reception in theatres. Both films quickly joined the Rs 100 crore club and are now on their way to breaking even more records.

'Viswanath and Sons' is a massive hit
Suriya's 'Viswanath and Sons' has already crossed Rs 200 crore in worldwide collections. Similarly, Nivin Pauly's 'Bethlehem Family Unit' is also a huge box office success, with reports suggesting it has earned around Rs 150 crore globally. What's interesting is that Girish A.D. directed 'Bethlehem Family Unit'. He's the same director who made Mamitha a pan-India star with 'Premalu'. This is their third film together. Mamitha first became famous across India for her role as 'Reenu' in 'Premalu'. After that mega-hit, she has delivered a string of blockbusters like 'Dude', 'Jananayagan', 'Viswanath and Sons', and 'Bethlehem Family Unit'.
