Gehana Vasisth porn video controversy: Police seize bank accounts and more (Detail)

According to reports, Yash Thakur, the suspected kingpin earned through an app called Fliz Movies involving actress Gehana Vashisth, were seized by the city police.

The police have seized two bank accounts with about Rs 5 crore of Yash Thakur, the suspected kingpin of a porn racket involving actor Gehana Vasisth.

The investigation has shown that Yash Thakur operates from Singapore and had opened business accounts with two banks, describing himself as an NRI. The city police seized the accounts with about Rs 5 crore.

A Crime Branch officer said, "We are trying to find the current location of Yash Thakur. The police are also trying to trace his family and we suspect Thakur is from Varanasi. Thakur contacts porn filmmakers and pays them advance through different gateways. Our probe into these transactions led us to his bank accounts."

A few months ago, Gehana Vasisth was in the news after getting arrested for allegedly shooting and uploading pornographic videos.

However, three other young girls were also arrested with her during police inquiry. They revealed that aspiring actors were being exploited on the pretext of featuring in a web show in the Gehana Vasisth porn racket.
