The anti-Indian label: Students who were slapped with sedition charges

With a number of students facing sedition charges under IPC section 124A for chanting “pro-Pakistan” slogans, Asianet Newsable travelled back to the recent past to list out students who were slapped with charges of sedition.
 

Aamir Mohiuddin Wani, Basit Asif Sofi and Talib Majeed Three Kashmir students who marked the first anniversary of Pulwama attack by singing pro-Pak slogans were booked under sedition laws by Karnataka Police. Aamir Mohiuddin Wani is a third-year student, while Basit Asif Sofi and Talib Majeed are second semester students, who have chosen to study civil engineering.
