Argentine superstar Lionel Messi finally won the trophy he yearned for most, and Ganguly feels it was "befitting" that the Argentine maestro won the cup in his last attempt. "It's befitting for Messi in his final World Cup. At age 35, he finishes his World Cup career with a trophy which also shows that however good you're and however great you're, you still have to fight for years to win a World Cup. It took him sixteen years to win a World Cup for Argentina, and I think it was phenomenal to watch the pace which can't be realised on TV," he concluded.
