Interestingly, he has become deadly ever since he turned 30, as he has claimed the most wickets after 30 by a pacer in the format, of 343, going past the previous record of Courtney Walsh (341). Joe Root becomes England's joint-most successful captainSince becoming the England captain, Root has registered 26 Test wins under his belt. As a result, he has equalled Michael Vaughan's feat and needs a win to become the all-time greatest for the side.
