Cheteshwar Pujara scripts an unwanted one: Pujara did manage to play a decent knock of 50, but failed to convert it prominently. While it was his 26th half-century in the format, it happened to be his slowest one, as it came off 174 deliveries. His previous slowest was 173, against South Africa, in 2018.

India's tough day with run-outs: A total of five batsmen (Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Hanuma Vihari, Ravichandran Ashwin and Jasprit Bumrah) have been run out for India in this series, as it was the first time since 1989-90 that four or more batsmen have been run out similarly in a series. It happened to be against Pakistan, as the victims were Sanjay Manjrekar, Mohammad Azharuddin, Navjot Singh Sidhu, Manoj Prabhakar and Sachin Tendulkar. It was also the first time since 2008-09 that three or more batsmen have been run out in a Test innings. The last time happened to be against England, which saw Virender Sehwag, VVS Laxman and Yuvraj Singh being the victims.

Wriddhiman Saha joins a rare list: Saha managed to don the big gloves despite not being in the playing XI, thanks to the unfortunate injury to Rishabh Pant. Meanwhile, he managed to get rid of Will Pucovski, off Mohammed Siraj's delivery, as he became only the second substitute Indian wicketkeeper to inflict a dismissal. The first one happened to be Dinesh Karthik, against South Africa, in 2017-18, as he had replaced Parthiv Patel.

Ashwin love affair with David Warner scales new height: Off-spinner Ashwin managed to get rid of Warner for mere 13. Notably, it was the 10th time he had dismissed the southpaw in the format, which is also the most Ashwin has dismissed in Tests. England's Alastair Cook remains in second, with nine dismissals against Ashwin. The record for dismissing Warner on most occasions in Tests lies with England's Stuart Broad (12).
