SSC Recruitment 2026 – 731 Stenographer Job Opportunity

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released a new recruitment notification for Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and Grade ‘D’ posts for 2026. A total of 731 vacancies have been announced. Recruitment Details

Age Limit

Selection Process

The SSC conducts this recruitment in two stages. First, there will be a Computer Based Examination (CBT). Candidates who clear the CBT will be called for a Stenography Skill Test. Be careful, as 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

In Tamil Nadu, the SSC has set up exam centres in Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Salem, Trichy, Tirunelveli, Vellore, Krishnagiri, Theni, and Puducherry. This makes it convenient for students from Tamil Nadu to take the exam close to their homes. There is no application fee for women, SC/ST, persons with disabilities, and ex-servicemen. Other applicants need to pay a fee of ₹100 online.

Remember these important dates: Applications open on 24.04.2026 and close on 15.05.2026. The last date for fee payment is 16.05.2026.
