With a new version, Google Chat desktop and web client and the progressive web app will support Dark Mode. According to Google, the admin cannot manage the Dark Mode on the Google Chat web client, desktop app, or progressive web app, and it is entirely up to the user to choose their theme. On Google Chat, users may enable Dark Mode by going to Settings > Theme Settings and selecting Dark Mode. The method is the same for all three clients. All Google Workspace clients and G Suite Basic and Business users will be able to access the new functionality.
